An internal thermostat can be set to a desired temperature and maintained for complete comfort during the hot summer months, with a remote control for easy operation.

This Midea window AC earned its Energy Star rating thanks to the inclusion of some energy-saving modes, an automatic timer, and a remote control with a “follow-me” function.

• Energy Saver: This Eco button operates in cool, dry, and auto modes. The fan continues to run for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off, and then cycles on for 2 minutes at 10-minute intervals until the room temperature is above the setpoint, at which point it begins cooling.
• Sleep Mode: Using the sleep button increases the set temperature by 2 degrees in 30 minutes, and then again in another 30 minutes. This temperature is maintained for 6 hours before returning to the original temperature setting.
• Timer: Use this to set an automatic start or stop time in ½-hour increments for 10 hours, then in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.
• Remote Control: The full-function remote control has a “follow-me” function so that the temperature sensor is functioning where you are located and not at the AC unit.

Keep your room comfortable in spring, summer, and fall with these convenient operating modes:

• Cool: Set the thermostat from 62° to 86° Fahrenheit and maintain your desired temperature.
• Dry: In this mode, the AC will operate as a dehumidifier, with the fan speed automatically set to low, and some degree of cooling will continue.
• Auto: The AC will automatically select cooling or fan operation, depending on the temperature set point and the room temperature. This is the most efficient operating mode.
• Fan Only: When temperatures are moderate, use this mode to circulate indoor air and exhaust stale air out of the space.

The LED screen on the remote clearly displays all of these functions and makes setting the temperature and selecting operating modes and fan speeds simple.
